This was painted while in Liverpool during a few days of preparing to be filmed for the Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year television program. I was in a small blue pop up tent, as one of the 50 wildcard painters at Liverpool waterfront, along with a big inflatable pink octopus! To be aired on your television in January / February 2024 channel 11, Sky Arts.
This original painting called “Liverpool Albert Docks”, painted on to traditional Blockingford watercolour paper, size 41cm x 31cm (16″x12″). It is thick sturdy watercolour paper 300g/m2 140Lbs, acid free and archival. Hand painted in professional artists quality watercolour paints. Watercolour paintings would need to be in a glass picture frame. Because of the wide variety in personal frame choice this painting does not include a glass picture frame (nor a card mount). The photo of it in a glass frame is for demonstration purposes only to give other framing examples. (I advise a glass picture frame size approx 20″x16″ which has an inner card mount size of approx 16″x12″).
